LECTURE SUMMARY 4 (11 DEC 2025) INFORMATION LITERACY MODELS Information literacy models are structured frameworks that describe the steps, stages, or processes individuals follow to identify an information need, search for information, evaluate it, use it effectively, and apply it ethically. These models assist teachers, librarians, and policymakers in designing instruction, curricula, and assessment tools that systematically build information competencies and help to teach our children the information literacy skills.
